  • Responsible for all aspects of information and communication systems other than final spending decisions.
  • Engineered, installed and administered a 50 node Novell NetWare 4.1 network with GroupWise e-mail, including asynchronous internet gateway.
  • Computer hardware and software support including building, rebuilding and repair of all levels of systems from XT to Pentium Pro and network servers.
  • Specified, managed entire implementation of and supported AIMS, the enterprise-wide database and manufacturing control system. Completed in only three weeks time to meet incredibly short deadline. Saved thousands of dollars and three months time compared to vendor implemented solution.
  • Developed and wrote procedures and work instructions for ISO-9000 documentation.
  • Designed the first company web site.
  • Administered the IBM RS-6000 AIX terminal server. Cleaned up configuration that had been poorly done by the vendor, increasing reliability and ease of use.

  • Ran a CAM Station to produce phototools in a electronic circuit board manufacturing environment.
  • Developed procedures, specifications and applications to increase the quality and efficiency of the processes using those phototools.
  • Implemented the first database of customer preferences, eliminating the need to rely on shared memory and hearsay, thus ensuring consistency from job to job.
  • Completely reinstalled Sun OS operating system and CAM station software when it crashed because someone flipped the circuit breakers. Completed and back to normal within three days even though there was almost no documentation available other than a few handwritten notes.
